The Challenge: Standardizing global infrastructure across high-latency environments.

Remediation:

  • Infrastructure Implementation: Served as the primary on-site engineering partner for the deployment of enterprise-grade Routers, Switches, and Wireless fabrics.

  • Advanced Connectivity: Deployed Cisco SD-WAN to ensure high-availability and secure application routing across the global enterprise.

Result: A unified, high-performance network fabric that treats global branches as a single, secure entity.

Education

The Challenge: A "Competence Gap" resulting in unmanaged cabling, legacy hardware, and a "flat" network that lacked visibility and control.

Remediation:

  • Infrastructure Modernization: Performed a complete data center cable remediation and hardware refresh, including Cisco Router & Core switch, SAN storage, and a Cisco wireless ecosystem, ie access points and wireless lan controller.

  • Identity & Access Management (IAM): Implemented Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) for robust Network Admission Control. We engineered a secure environment where student, faculty, and administrative devices are dynamically profiled and segmented.

  • Administrative Security: Deployed TACACS+ for all network equipment access, ensuring a centralized "Source of Truth" for authentication, authorization, and a complete audit trail of every configuration change.

  • The "Crisis" Intervention: After the institution transitioned to a mid-sized MSP, the environment suffered a catastrophic Ransomware Attack. The new provider was unable to fully recover the environment.

  • Emergency Restoration: CBL Consulting was called back in to lead the recovery. Leveraging our deep understanding of the original network infrastructure and segmented architecture, we successfully restored the entire environment.

The Result: A resilient, "Audit-Ready" infrastructure. By using Cisco ISE and TACACS+, we ensured that even after a total recovery, the school maintains granular control over who (and what) is on their network.

  • Emergency Access Recovery: Performed on-site hardware-level overrides to recover access to the entire core infrastructure (Routers, Switches, and Servers) without data loss.

  • Architectural Reset: Replaced the chaotic, "black box" environment with a structured, dynamic, and fully documented network.

Result: Restored organizational sovereignty and cut overhead costs by eliminating predatory service fees.

Manufacturing & Other

The Challenge: Integrating complex voice communications with a modern industrial network and Managing a complex, hybrid-cloud identity and security environment. 

Remediation:

  • Hybrid Security: Provided organization-wide support for Palo Alto Networks, Cisco Meraki, and Microsoft 365 Entra/Azure Cloud Services.

  • Global Support: Ensuring that identity management and edge security are synchronized across the cloud and on-premise infrastructure.

  • Cisco Unified Communications: Engineered and installed a full Cisco Call Manager system, integrated with SIP overhead paging and attendant consoles.

  • Network Foundation: Deployed a high-resiliency foundation using Cisco Switching and Meraki Firewall/Wireless infrastructure.

Result: A "Smart Factory" environment where critical voice communications and data integrity are perfectly synchronized and High-availability connectivity for a sector where 10 minutes of downtime is not an option.
